Greenhouse Couple Session

Cassidy and Travis are basically family to me and have done a couple session with me before. This year I was thinking long and hard about something different to do with them. Cue lightbulb! A greenhouse shoot! Cassidy works at Jolly Lane Greenhouse and so I knew they would be the perfect couple for this idea. I will admit, when I brought it up to Cassidy I could tell she was hesitant. I don't blame her; taking photos in your office or work space doesn't seem all that glamorous does it? After showing her some inspiration on Pinterest she was in, woo hoo! 

We got to go into the greenhouse after hours for their shoot. Everywhere I turned my camera I had a new colorful background. I also had my husband and brother behind the scenes helping with lighting and making Cassidy and Travis laugh. It worked! We also caught some photos right at the very end of the day before the sun was completely gone, up on Skyline Drive as blue clouds were rolling in. They made for a beautiful and natural filter! We had such a fun time and laughed so hard I had to put my camera down a few times to wipe away tears. The takeaway from this session was don't be afraid to try new things! When I sent Cassidy a few of the edited photos, I was nervous waiting for her response since this was my idea. A few seconds later my phone dinged and I looked down. "Kins I LOVEEEE them." Doesn't get much better than that! Every session is special but this one especially because we all tried something new together and captured the good stuff. (We even both loved the photo below with both of their eyes closed!)
